“Well done to all on another great SAS WC Dabbie Camp which was held at IYC last week-end 6-7 Sept 2014!! 5 Star food by gourmet moms Lynn Hoyle, Kim Strutt, Marion Foreman and Cheryl Thorburn and some really hard work by our excellent coaches, thank-you James Stock, Kevin Foreman, Patric Loydell and Luke Sher for the huge effort you made to help every sailor with personalised on the water training. We had a couple of newbies who were taught the basics in 2 days, and ended the Camp smiling, and able to sail. A big thank-you also to Steve Deuchar for organizing the coach boats, and Barbara Sher for the great photos. Finally, we would also like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Dave Hudson and Stephen Du Toit for their excellent presentations. Dave managed to reduce the RRS to 8 important Rules, and to explain their applications practically, in easy to understand terms, with reference to actual incidents on the water, and Stephen gave us all a very valuable lesson on the basics of not only how to sail, but also on what needs to be understood and done in order to sail well!”
